Introducing Mod Noir by Marc Jacobs

Mod Noir is the perfect name for this fragrance. The bottle design is intimately Marc Jacobs with eccentric stripes and black and white elegance. The frosted glass finish juxtaposed to the shiny lacquer is feminine and classic yet still modern and chic. This dichotomy of old and new is perfect for a new release at a major fashion house like Marc Jacobs.

Marc Jacobs Mod Noir

TOP: Greens
MID: Gardenia
BASE: Creamy Musks

This new fragrance is available only at Marc Jacobs stores and Sephora.
Mod Noir and its concept fit into the Sephora store perfectly, it was meant to be.

Given the less-than-perfect start of of Sephora in Australia, the store is showing off the Mod Noir trophy. Sephora was thought to be the sole distributor of the Urban Decay in Australia, a much sought-after product for Australians who envied America's access to it. However, upon Sephora's entry, the long-standing MECCA became the Australian distributor of Urban Decay. Also, Sephora was hyped to give Australians US prices, which could not happen.

But what Sephora has is a transnational access to resources, brands and unrivalled rapport in international beauty. In this latest move, the coveted Marc Jacobs fragrance is where it will hit other retailers hard. Add this to its dynamic and modern store concept and design, it is a Sephora that has upped the ante.

Instadigest | 2015 Autumn

Dear life,

I am writing to inform you of my happiness that most of my exams are over. On top of that, I am finally getting time to plan my trip to the U.S. properly. Although the study/examination period was not particularly demanding anyway - seeing as I had time to finish seasons 2-3 of Suits, season 17 of the Simpsons, millions of hours of Sir David Attenborough-narrated documentaries, watch The Good Wife, Dexter, picked up a good book - Old Man and the Sea (gotta start with the classics), start House of Cards and the general busy-ness of graduate applications and their assessments. House of Cards is so off-putting for me. I hate him so much lol it's just I don't know.

Autumn was quite productive this time round and I am glad that I got all that done and lots more, like planning my S2 exchange and many miscellaneous things, while also getting hibernation-worthy amounts of sleep and way too much eats. I guess I realised that it's probably my final year to be this free and autonomous before work or the stress of finding it will take over me. Anyway, I'm really happy about you and about me, but what I really need now is some great Japanese food.

Tony

The Cologne Diaries - Instinct -Gold Edition- (David Beckham) Review

The first celebrity fragrance for me, and what a great one to start with. Instinct Gold is an exceptionally deep and sensual fragrance for men. The fragrance waffles throughout the night like the bokeh light effect in the ad campaign. The citrusy scent from the bergamot and lemon is backed by some woody notes from cedar-wood which makes the fragrance masculine yet alluring. Perfect as a night fragrance.

ZARA Man Lookbook -Soft Wear-

Sports-luxe is everywhere these days, but more recently, gym-luxe is also hitting the streets. The new soft wear line from ZARA MAN pushes out some utilitarian and minimalist pieces that follow the big trends in sportswear. Island sneakers, perforated leather, sweat shirts and light jackets up the game in everyday apparel.

ZARA Man Lookbook -Tailoring-

One of the best places for workwear, ZARA MAN's tailoring lookbook shows off a mix of crispy cut lines and soft tailoring. The more formal and slim silhouette of the bright blue suits epitomises the spring style while the softer and more relaxed fit of modern shirts styled with tailored trousers and shorts capture the look of this summer. The most interesting piece is definitely the crew neck x henley x polo striped blue top. The simple and refreshing palette is a big shift from the very dark and sleek styles of ZARA that we are used to.
